Customer Reviews

Really exciting experience. Recommend to anybody of any age ( I'm a pensioner ). Crew were extremely helpful and thoughtful. - Aine Keenan

Really fantastic experience and opportunity of a life time to swim and watch the seals. Ash, our guide was great and patient. No need to worry about taking a camera, just enjoy the experience as photos are taken on the trip. The water is a tad choppy / currents strong and Im not the strongest swimmer and I was well taken care of! Option of using a float. In fact, it was best just to float around and the seals come and investigate you! On our day, the water visibility was low due to the recent rains, but on snorkelling could still see the seals swimming around me. Amazing to be so close! - Maleene Patel

- Ines Christmann

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Booked a 2nd snorkel the day after our first 1 - would snorkel with the seals everyday if I could. Bucket list item and a MUST DO when in Plett!!!! - Erin Bruton

Very unique experience! Up close and personal with these beautiful and funny creatures. - Cheryl Francken

Activity Description

Experience a World of Diversity in One Forest – Just a short drive from Knysna and 2 hours from Port-Elizabeth. Situated in the Garden of the Garden Route and heart of Tsitsikamma – Stormsriver Village.

Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour is an Award-Winning Canopy Tour company that turns Tourism activities into Tourism experiences! Enjoy being suspended 30m above the forest floor on the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, cable sliding from ten platforms, tree to tree while discovering the spectacular and unique wilderness of the Tsitsikamma Indigenous forest. Surrounded by birdlife and giant trees like the Outeniqua Yellowwood, known to us as Uncle Sam who is over 600 years old! One can easily feel like a dwarf standing against it. The tour begins with a detailed safety briefing followed by a ‘kitting up’ session where a full-body harness, pulleys, and climbing equipment is issued and checked. A short drive into the Tsitsikamma forest and it is time to monkey around!

From the start on the launch platform, a new world unfolds as one gently glides on a steel cable to the first tree platform. All groups are escorted through the forest canopy by a lead guide and a follow guide to ensure your safety as you slide from tree to tree. The platforms built high up in the giant Outeniqua Yellowwoods, provide an unbelievable view of this enchanting new world – any fear of heights is soon lost as you gather in your new surroundings.

Excellent service, very friendly staff, will definitely visit again - Karabo Mazibuko

Can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to experience this. We have previously been to the Magaliesberg Canopy tour and now after experiencing Tsitsukamma we are going to visit some other sites. The team were professional and such fun throughout. Thank you for a magical morning. - SUZANNE VAN ECK

A great and relaxing experience zipping through beautiful forest with some great and knowledgeable guides! Couldn't think of a better way to spend an afternoon. - Laura powell

I never knew that one could enjoy oneself at my age as much as I did. This was one of the best 60th birthday gifts I've ever received in my entire life! And to share it with my best friend and husband, put the cherry on the cake. - Sylvia Rockman

The Tsitsikama Canopy tour was the highlight of the week we spent in the area. It included adrenalin, fun, information, beautiful scenery. The guides made us feel safe yet entertained, while dispensing a lot of knowledge and love for nature. Book in advance. Hint: take the phone with you in a safe pocket or safely hanging around your neck. Although anything you drop while in the trees will be lost forever, there is little risk of actually dropping something. You will be wanting to take pictures and film many times along the way. However, the official film and photos cost almost nothing and the result is a great extra memory to share, cherish and remember. - Ivanov Albert
